* This Week’s Camping World Chevrolet at New Hampshire Motor Speedway … Clint Bowyer will pilot Chassis No. 069 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable. Built new last season, this is the same Camping World Chevy Bowyer drove to Victory Lane last spring at Phoenix International Raceway and Richmond International Raceway. Additionally, the Emporia, Kan., native raced this car last July at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (St. 3 – Fn. 6). The same car also saw action in September at Richmond (St. 11 – Fn. 33) and again in November at Phoenix (St. 1 – Fn. 3). Most recently, Bowyer raced this car to an eighth-place finish in April at Phoenix and to a ninth-place finish in May at Richmond. All told, Chassis No. 069 has recorded two wins, one pole, three top-five and seven top-10 finishes in seven starts. * And Now, A Word From Our Sponsor … For the seventh time this season, Bowyer’s No. 2 Chevy will feature a blue and gold Camping World paint scheme. Camping World offers over 8,000 quality products geared toward the RVing community through 65 nationwide SuperCenters, a well-established catalog call center and an award-winning Web site. Camping World is the industry leader in RV accessories and services. In addition to RVs, Camping World provides its customers with high-quality products and services to help enhance their life on the road. o Average Running Position … According to NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics, Bowyer leads the Average Running Position category with an 8.723 ARP. The ARP is derived from taking the sum of a driver’s position on each lap and dividing it by the number of laps run in each race. o Laps in the Top 15 … Meanwhile, the Nationwide Series point leader has spent 2,820 of the 3,144 laps completed this season (89.7 percent) running in the top 15. o Driver Rating … Bowyer also enjoys a 106.1 Driver Rating – second only to Kyle Busch (110.9). The Driver Rating is a formula that combines the following categories: wins, top-15 finishes, average running position while on the lead lap, average speed under green, fastest lap, most laps led and lead-lap finishes. The maximum a driver can earn in each race is 150 points. The Driver Rating number is used pre-race as a prediction tool and post-race as a performance evaluator. o Laps Led … Bowyer has led 298 laps in Nationwide Series competition this season and trails only Busch and two-time Sprint Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart in that category. * A Look Back at Last Week … Last weekend in Milwaukee, Bowyer started deep in the field after arriving from Sonoma after Stephen Leicht had already qualified the No. 2 Chevy but still went on to post his seventh top five in 17 races this season. After three straight weeks of having to travel back and forth across the country for non-companion events, what’s it going to feel like to actually race both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series’ races at the same track? “It’ll be nice. It will definitely be back to normal – that’s for sure. June is kind of the month from hell but it’s been worth it. Honestly, it’s been neat. How many times do you get a chance to fly in to a race track on a helicopter or fly from race track to race track on a private jet? You get on a helicopter right after you step off a jet, land in the infield and go racing. How can it get any better than that? It’s so cool but it’s going to be nice to race both cars and walk across the way to the Nationwide garage and get in the Camping World Chevrolet.” This site is
