The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup season has proven to be a year of exciting change for Clint Bowyer. ??The 33-year-old Emporia, Kan. native entered his seventh full-time season at the sport’s highest level but his first at Michael Waltrip Racing driving the No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota under the guidance of veteran crew chief Brian Pattie. ?

?It didn’t take long for the new combination to click.??Bowyer and Pattie became a favorite nearly every weekend before dominating the road course race at Sonoma giving Bowyer his sixth career victory and MWR’s third. ??

Bowyer joined teammates Martin Truex Jr., future hall-of-famer Mark Martin and two-time Daytona 500 champion Michael Waltrip in the MWR driver lineup. All three cars have raced well in 2012 with Martin winning three poles while Bowyer and Truex appear to be prime contenders for berths in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
