- This Weekend's Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express Chevrolet Impala SS at Daytona International Speedway ... Clint Bowyer will pilot Chassis No. 049 from the Richard Childress Racing Nationwide Series stable in this weekend's Subway Jalapeno 250 powered by Coca-Cola. This is the same chassis Bowyer started and finished third in during the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series opener at Daytona. He also piloted this Chevrolet twice in 2008, in the season opener at Daytona and at Talladega. In both races, the former No. 2 racer finished 25th after being involved in accidents.
- Statistically Speaking ...
- Qualifying with No Restrictions ... Bowyer has a sixth-place average starting position at restrictor-plate races (Daytona and Talladega). He has one pole (Talladega – April 2004). The 2007 season-opener at Daytona marked the only time that Bowyer failed to start in the top 10 at a restrictor-plate event, where he qualified 26th.
- Bowyer's Restrictor-Plate Credentials ... Bowyer, the reigning 2008 NNS champion, has made 15 starts in restrictor-plate races. In those starts, he has earned seven top-five and eight top-10 finishes that goes along with a 12.1 average finish. - Bringing it Home ... The Emporia, Kan., driver has been running at the end of all nine NNS events he has started at Daytona and has finished on the lead lap in seven of those (Feb.16, 2008 being the only time he failed to do so when he finished one lap down.) RCR's NNS cars have been running at the end of 38 out of 39 races they started at Daytona (RCR's No.21 piloted by Jeff Burton lost an engine in 2006's season opener.)
- RCR at Daytona ... In 38 career NNS starts at the "World Center of Racing," RCR-prepared Chevrolets have earned two wins (Dale Earnhardt Jr. – February 2002 and Kevin Harvick – July 2005), 19-top five and 20 top-10 finishes and have led 313 laps of competition. Also, the Welcome, N.C., -based organization has a 10.3 average starting spot, a 10.1 average finish and have completed 99.0 percent (4249 of 4290) of the laps contested in those starts.
- Race Rewind ... Bowyer and the Holiday Inn Racing team overcame a mid-race mishap to finish 14th in last weekend's Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by Turtle Wax at New Hampshire. The solid finish helped the No. 29 team maintain ninth position in the NNS owners' standings.
- 'Three Wide for the Name on the Ride' ... Only one race remains to determine which of the three Holiday Inn Racing drivers, Bowyer, Burton, and Stephen Leicht, will have their name above the door of the No. 29 Chevrolet for the remainder of the season. The driver with the most wins, or best average finish, following this weekend's Daytona International Speedway event will win the internal wager.
- Advantage Bowyer ... Bowyer, who currently leads the competition with a 10.8 average finish, will pilot RCR's No. 29 Chevrolet in the final race of the competition. He needs to finish 24th or better to earn the naming rights. .

CLINT BOWYER QUOTES
Is Daytona one of your best tracks on the Nationwide Series side?
"That track has always been good to me and I can't think of a better track to run well at than Daytona. I enjoy racing there and we're getting close to a win. I feel like I'm getting close to my first restrictor-plate victory and feel that Daytona is probably where it will be. Hopefully, with this Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express Chevrolet this weekend, we can land in Victory Lane."
Kyle Busch has seemed to dominate the Nationwide Series this year. Is that the guy this Holiday Inn Racing team is chasing?
"Everyone is chasing Kyle and, actually, both Joe Gibbs (Racing) cars. They have done their homework and they have their equipment where it needs to be right now. At RCR, we had similar dominance with our Chevrolets for three or four years. (Kevin) Harvick, (Jeff) Burton, and I won a lot of races and had a ton of fun, but Gibbs has seemed to raise the bar even higher and we're all chasing them now."
